So...How did the Global Azure Bootcamp 2017 Denver go? Phidiax reports!

Last Saturday, 4/22/2017, Phidiax had the opportunity to participate in the 4th Denver iteration of the Global Azure Bootcamp.

This is also the 4th time that Phidiax Hosted and Sponsored the Denver location of this event. For the 205 registered attendees, the stage was set for 16 sessions with 16 speakers presenting on aspects of Microsoft Azure. FREE to the public, this forum of peers, all interested in Microsoft Azure, shared in their experiences. The common goal was to collectively progress our education and understanding of solutions with real world samples and demos for all aspects of Cloud including: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS).

The Global Azure Bootcamp, in general, is a collective of events, on a single day, where Microsoft Partners in their respective cities host and sponsor a FREE event, synchronized throughout the wod. This year, over 10,000 attendees in over 250 cities participated in this global event.

As the CEO of Phidiax, I could not be prouder of our decision to continually invest in our community, and technological interests. Our team, in its entirety converged in Denver, to drive yet another opportunity to showcase our practical implementation experience of bleeding-edge technologies, with like-minded implementers. We are thankful!

This year we were fortunate to gain the support of a couple sponsors to provide additional educational experiences as well as fancy giveaways. MachineLOGIC, specifically Nathan Taylor, thank you for the overwhelming support, Raspberry Pi giveaways, and coordination of after event drinks and social hour. Thank you Alert Logic for a great introduction to Security tools on Azure, as well as surprise lock-picking training.

Microsoft stepped it up this year with not only access to Microsoft DTC office space and all associated tech to make sessions a breeze, but also access to breakout rooms, the cafĆ© and lounge areas, and plenty of whiteboard space. We had Microsoftā€™s John Santiago providing overall Microsoft Sponsorship support and giveaways to the community. We had Microsoftā€™s Ryan McIntyre with boots-on-the-ground providing direction, as well as technical sessions. We also had Microsoftā€™s Becky Isserman evangelizing PowerBI. Thank you Microsoft.

The Global Azure Bootcamp team organized lunch from Dominoā€™s Pizza, and special giveaways from global sponsors to all attendees. Thank you!

Finally, local meetup groups...Thank you for participating: Mile High Azure, Colorado Microsoft Developers, Colorado Technology Sales Roundtable, Denver Software Architects.
